Job Title/Grade: Senior Associate, DAI Sustainable Business Group (P3)
Department: Sustainable Business Group (SBG)
Reports to: Manager, SBG

Function of the Position:
This is a full-time, professional position that will contribute to the DAI Sustainable Business Group (DAI/SBG). DAI SBG is a specialized unit within DAI that develops unique products and services to help clients operate more sustainably and responsibly. We work with both the public and private sector across a wide range of geographies where we offer a range of advisory and implementation services.The Supply Chain practice is focuses on helping private and public corporations manage, reorganize, and develop their local and global supply chains in a manner that drives commercial success while promoting social and environmental sustainability and economic development. The Responsible Business practice focuses on SME development, entrepreneurship and innovation, corporate social investments and strategy/policy development.
This position will be based in either the US or the UK office with an opportunity for overseas travel. The Senior Associate is tasked with technical work on projects or new business initiatives, such as background research and analysis, inputs for client presentations, and project management work under supervision. The Senior Associate will also provide project, logistical and administrative support across a portfolio of projects, helping to ensure effective and efficient management and delivery of projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The percentages below are illustrative and may evolve and/or change depending on the company’s needs.
  • Technical Delivery (60%)
  • Conduct background research and provide written inputs to technical deliverables
  • Conduct data analytics and generate statistical and/or graphic outputs
  • Prepare, edit, and format PowerPoint decks, reports, briefs, and economic models
  • Communicate and respond to client inquiries under the direction of the Project Team Lead
  • Support Team Lead in disseminating and communicating scopes of work for team members
  • Develop subject matter expertise by graduating towards increased levels of project technical/operational complexity
  • Under the direction of the project/proposal lead, draft Scopes of Work for consultants/subcontractors
  • In close coordination with the Project Lead and Delivery, Finance & Operations team, contribute to development and monitoring of project workplans and budgets, including technical deliverables; financial and project performance reviews; and client and corporate reporting requirements
  • In collaboration with project and DFO teams, ensure understanding of and compliance with all contractual and reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, update methodologies and improve service offerings
  • Project Management and Administration (30%)
  • Support implementation of project and risk management policies, processes, and procedures across a portfolio of projects for effective and efficient project delivery
  • Conduct regular monitoring and reporting activities, including tracking of agreed actions and monitoring of risk register and mitigation actions, and facilitate information sharing within the Business Unit, and across DAI corporate and project offices
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project management systems and tools, playing an active role in business process improvement initiatives
  • Prepare project staff/ consultants/subcontractor records, including undertaking vetting and due diligence checks, and drafting and processing consultant contracts, subcontract agreements, modifications and project budgets.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams to set up, review, and process supplier and client records and invoices in ERP systems and troubleshoot any issues
  • Assist with logistics for project technical teams, including making travel arrangements as well as organizing and facilitating events to engage partners, stakeholders, and clients
  • Update and monitor operational budgets and the financial performance of projects and liaise with Project Accountants to ensure the financial projections are on course to be met and profitability forecasts and expenditure forecasts are accurate. Provide inputs to Finance teams on project financial performance
  • New Business and Knowledge Management (10%)
  • Conduct background research and provide writing inputs to technical proposals, concept notes and pitch decks
  • Provide coordination, pricing and administrative support to new business efforts, including preparation and analysis of data and documents for the proposal team.
  • Support recruitment efforts for projects and bids; tailor and format resumes, and maintain communication with current/potential project staff/consultants
  • Support onboarding of proposal resources (e.g. contracting of subcontractors and external experts).
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
  • Grade P3: More than 1 year of relevant professional experience and a college degree. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or interest in responsible sourcing, economics, supplier development or corporate sustainability issues
  • Academic or applied experience in qualitative and quantitative research
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible, and team-focused work environment
  • Advanced working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to travel to all countries where DAI implements its projects, barring times when DAI Global security has deemed travel unsafe
  • *Based in one of the following U.S. locations where DAI is registered: District of Colombia, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinios, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Experience in the oil and gas or renewable energy sector
  • Academic or applied experience in economic analysis
  • Language fluency/business proficient communication in a second language such as Arabic, Spanish, French, or Portuguese

Compensation & Benefits: The full-time equivalent annual base salary for this U.S.-based position is expected to be between $63,704 to $69,325 . Actual offers will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant education, experience, skills, seniority, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Eligible U.S. - based employees will be able to enroll in medical, dental and vision insurance, plus a 401(k)-retirement plan with a company match. Additionally, employees will be eligible for company-paid annual leave (vacation & holidays), sick leave, and parental leave , as well as short- and long-term disability coverage. Detailed information will be provided at the time a formal offer is extended.
