Position Summary:As Contract Administrator, you will act as the guardian of our contractual agreements, overseeing their creation, execution, and analysis. Ensuring all contracts are equitable and accurate while mitigating any risks to the company. Responsibilities
Ensure log of contracts is updated and reviewed regularly
Ensure renewal and renegotiation, where required and appropriate, of existing master service
agreements
Understand corporate financial and legal guidelines and requirements
Support the review of project contracts against the corporate commercial and legal guidelines prior to signature
Support Sales Management in the development of Master Service Agreements, SOWs, Letters
of Intent, Services Contracts, and other Customer Contracts
Coordinate with and seek advice from corporate counsel and company leadership
Provide feedback to company leadership
Ensure appropriate priority of contract documents
Support sales in formulating legal/commercial exceptions
Support project managers and purchasing with subcontracts and compliance with end-customer contracts
Ensure end customer conditions flow down appropriately
Notice requirements are fulfilled and met with client and subcontractor agreements
Support in review of legal questions
Support in risk and legal compliance management
Provide essential support in cost control and play a crucial role in protecting the company's
interests throughout the duration of a project
Issue instructions to project teams based on contractual agreements
Master Service Agreements
Review for required exceptions and clarifications for new, large Scope of Work (SOWs)
Insurance requirements
Work with corporate counsel and the company’s insurance broker to ensure contractual
insurance requirements are met
Play an intermediary role amongst the many parties involved (external clients or subcontractors and internal groups: Sales, Legal, Project Management, CFO), safeguarding contractual compliance and fostering relationships.
Maintain an organized system of physical and digital records for all contract-related correspondence and documentation
Provide timely responses to queries regarding contracts and resolving any conflicts that arise.
Qualifications
Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) or Certified International Commercial Contracts
Manager (CICCM) or equivalent experience
Preferred paralegal education
Legal background: Paralegal, attorney or similar
Construction, project management in the industrial equipment / automation environment
Good written and oral communication skills with ability to manage multiple requests concurrently
Understand basic legal and commercial concepts, for example liability limitations, indemnity, etc.
