Overview

Daifuku Airport America Corporation (formally known as Jervis B. The company is currently seeking a Electrical Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Major Areas of Responsibility

    • Electrical assembly of components, sub-assemblies, and company products.
    • Integrate electrical components for final assembly.
    • Troubleshoot complex or troublesome equipment and assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
    • Align and adjust electrical equipment according to specifications.
    • Operate standard testing or processing equipment.
    • Use hand tools or bench type power equipment.
    • Recognize obvious defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship and general quality.
    • Perform material handling work as needed.
    • Handle and transport parts, and supplies between work areas for assembly, or other forms of processing.
    • Know processes and documentation required.
    • Advise leader of print discrepancies and write CAR.
    • Performs other work-related duties as required.
    • Ability to perform duties in a timely manner.
    • Participation in the company quality process.
    • Suggest design changes or recommend improvements in assembly methods.

    Basic Broad Knowledge

      • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
      • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

    • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
    • Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
    • Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of you, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
    • Verbal and Written Expression and Recognition — The ability to listen to, understand and communicate information and ideas presented through spoken or written words and sentences.
    • Information Ordering — The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).

    Education & Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Ability to Interpret drawings, prints and bill of materials.
    • Basic computer skills: Microsoft suite, AutoCAD Viewer, SAP
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
    • Ability to read and write English.
    • TSA requirements: TBD

    Demonstrated Physical Abilities

    Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; move/traverse throughout the customers’ sites to access industrial equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence
