Daikin Applied is now hiring full-time Material Handlers for our Dayton, OH Distribution Center.
1st shift - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, some OT may be required
2nd shift - Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, some OT may be required
Starting pay - $18/hour $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reads work order or pick tickets or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, moved, or processed.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, pallet jack, conveyor, or other material handling equipment.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs banding and stretch wrapping to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information or cases or containers.
• Packs and prepares cartons for shipping to customers.
• Ensures accuracy or order and security of packaging to avoid damage in shipment.
• Operate a pallet jack and forklift on a regular basis.
• Able to meet quality and productivity deliverables.
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1 year of Industrial Vehicle operating experience preferred
