Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Texas Division Vice President position for our Branch Operations groups local to our Texas region. The DVP and COD will plan, direct, and oversee company-owned distribution planning, operations, and network optimization across their territory. They will also develop strategies and KPIs that support operational performance across sites, including safety, quality, inventory optimization, profit margins, and customer service. Provide leadership and coordination of company-owned distribution functions
Develop and implement company-owned distribution, sales strategies, plans, and programs
Monitor and analyze sales and distribution activity against goals to ensure sales growth and customer satisfaction
Work with real estate to ensure timely turnaround of new store/company acquisitions
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's markets, competitors, sales cycles, clinical influences, and consumer behavior
Direct the company business development function to identify and develop new customers for products and services
Develop strategies and plans that identify marketing opportunities and carry out programs for market research and analysis, including market segments, buying trends, and competitor analysis
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results
Effectively represent the company at various community, business, industry, and governmental meetings to promote the company and its interests
Develop and implement pricing and customer service policies
Develop marketing action plans that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules, and assignments to implement and achieve targeted opportunities
Provide recommendations for improving or adding new products and services and assist with product development and testing
Builds, develops, and manages sales teams capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives
Maintain relationships with advertising agencies, public relations firms, market research firms, and other service providers as needed
Oversee reporting of sales and new acquisition activities
Directly accountable to ownership and for the performance of all responsibilities related to sales, marketing, distribution, and acquisitions
Provide reports or briefings on company sales, distribution, marketing, and product/service activities

Develops and implements strategic plans and objectives for the department/sub-function in an effective and innovative fashion
Understands the business and can put together comprehensive department solutions
Works with other leaders to establish strategic plans and works towards achieving them
Provides leadership and direction to managers in their respective division/department
Sees department staffing needs (e.g., interviewing, hiring, new hire and ongoing training, annual evaluations, etc.)
Participates in budget development and monitoring of expenses

Advanced knowledge of business operations and consultative approaches; experience guiding leaders to make better business decisions
Proven ability to deliver results, effectively influencing decisions through strong negotiation skills
Ability to plan and set priorities to achieve business objectives
Outstanding accountability and focus skills
Strong business acumen (financial review and assessment skills, use of competitive data, etc.)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources

Solid verbal, analytical, organizational, writing, and presentation skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Experience
10 years of P&L responsibility for multiple locations
Education
Business degree or equivalent
