Daikyonishikawa USA is Hiring an IT Specialist Near Madison, AL

The IT Specialist is tasked with monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks. The IT Specialist coordinates with IT staff on both shifts to update and install systems, work on projects, and complete work orders within the IT ticketing system.
The IT Specialist is required to have 2 years of experience with the ERP process, utilizing SAP, EDI, or a similar format. A thorough understanding of computer software, hardware, networking, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is also required. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.
The overall goal is to maintain DNUS ERP processes and networks, and to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain and develop ERP process
  • Take possession of Client/User/IT/Communication concerns
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing software and equipment
  • Advance concerns to appropriate personnel when necessary
  • Provide technical support for plant and office personnel during shift hours
  • Maintain inventory list of IT equipment
  • Install and configure new systems and reallocate older systems
  • Maintain effective security, user access, and virus protection systems for relevant programs
  • Other tasks and responsibilities related to IT coverage for the company
  • Work in both an office setting and production/manufacturing area with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
  • Moderate levels of walking, standing, bending, and lifting when performing job duties in the production area. Office setting requires sitting and use of a computer terminal/workstation
  • Address IT issues that interrupt production operations as overseen by both Operations/Production management staff and IT Manager
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
  • Two-year degree or accredited certification in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred
  • 2-3 years experience in IT-related work applied in the ERP process
  • NYSUS experience is a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot networking technologies, both hardware and software issues
  • Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, and Access
  • Action oriented, high level of energy, and results oriented
  • Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable in a diverse and fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Dependable and communicative work style
