**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining inventory control in a grocery store setting. **Responsibilities:** - Assist the Manager in day-to-day operational tasks such as inventory management, pricing, and shift management. - Provide administrative support by handling paperwork, scheduling, and coordinating staff activities. - Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize waste. - Support payroll activities and ensure accurate processing. - Collaborate with the Manager to create strategies for market competitiveness and growth. - Assist in training and supervising staff members to deliver exceptional service. - Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience. - Conduct clerical duties as needed to support store operations. **Requirements:** - Proven experience in an assistant managerial role, preferably in a grocery store or retail environment. - Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures. - Ability to effectively manage shifts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. - Bilingual proficiency is a plus. - Familiarity with negotiating prices and vendor management. - Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and staff effectively. - Proficiency in payroll processes and basic accounting principles.
