**Job Description: Ice Cream Shop Lead Team Member**

**Position Overview:**

As the Lead Team Member at our ice cream shop, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth operations. You will lead by example, motivating and guiding team members to deliver high-quality products and service to our customers. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Team Leadership:**

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of ice cream shop team members.

- Train new team members on company policies, procedures, and job duties.

- Motivate and inspire team members to maintain high levels of productivity and morale.

- Provide coaching and constructive feedback to team members to enhance performance.

2. **Customer Service:**

- Ensure excellent customer service at all times.

- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

- Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor with customers and team members alike.

3. **Operational Excellence:**

- Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards.

- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure product availability.

4. **Product Quality:**

- Maintain the quality of ice cream products and ensure they meet company standards.

- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance as necessary.

5. **Financial Accountability:**

- Assist in monitoring and managing cash handling procedures.

- Support in inventory management to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in a customer service or leadership role, preferably in a retail or food service environment.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

- Basic math skills and understanding of financial principles related to cash handling and inventory management.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality or business management is a plus.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

- Comfortable working in a cold environment (ice cream shop setting).

- Manual dexterity for operating equipment and handling food items.
