**Daishs Group Hotels General Manager**
Introduction
The Daishs Group runs 12 hotels across England and Wales and has been trading over 40 years. The hotels are open all year round, and enjoy an almost constant very high occupancy rate which is supplied by the Groups own fleet of modern coaches and a busy sales and marketing department. You will be in control of your own budgeted cost for P&L purposes along with delivering our core values. These ingredients we know will make the successful candidate become part of our successful ongoing growth.
The Role
Being a Daishs Group General Manager, the main responsibilities of your role will lie with the traditional skill of customer care, and just as importantly, a thorough and professional knowledge of managing operational costs and the more technical legal requirements for our premises. You will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge in the following key areas :
The candidate will be a natural leader who leads by example and is hands on in their approach, being very front of house, visible and known to our guests.
- The role is offered on a full time permanent basis. Temporary live in would be available if you need to relocate to nearer one of our sites.
- The GM should be systems savvy, at a minimum being adept with Microsoft Office and front office systems (Daishs uses Hotel Perfect), although training will be given on our systems.
- Manage the business to the cost budget set, understanding costs and being able to proactively rectify problems by being able to interrogate stock take and invoice information.
- To ensure that the Daishs core values of clean, comfortable, accommodation with quality food, entertainment and friendly service are upheld every day.
- Lead and motivate your HOD team to ensure Daishs quality standards are maintained at all times.
- Will be competent with the more technical side of the job, knowing and adhering to statutory and licensing requirements. Ultimately somebody who regards the hotel as their own business.
