We are looking to hire a Body Prep Manager ( Maintenance Background ).Responsibilities
- Plans and oversees work to meet production and quality requirements while making effective use of labor, material, and equipment.
- Coordinates railcar transport of raw materials, orders necessary body material and verifies shipment receipts.
- Coordinates the flow of material through the body prep process.
- Establishes, maintains, and analyzes budgets, records, and other controls to keep costs at a minimum consistent with efficient operations.
- Manages demurrage costs.
- Ensures operations are within specifications.
- Evaluates selection of new associates in hiring process.
- Conducts training on new procedures and oversees new hire training.
- Coaches and reviews performance of direct reports.
- Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
- Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures within the plant.
- Develops an effective organization capable of meeting objectives.
- Ensures employees complete required training.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, and or other manufacturing-related degrees, preferred.
- Knowledge of ceramic manufacturing and quality standards preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Five (5) or more years of experience, preferred.
- Strong background in Facility Maintenance, a plus.
- Strong communication and listening skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, conflict resolution skills, and ability to analyze, plan and schedule.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
