Job Objective: Briefly describe the main purpose of this position.
The Technical Manufacturing Engineer is a high performing contributor that facilitates and supports Manufacturing function and projects. This role works to optimize technical manufacturing processes, identify efficiencies, and analyze production data to improve overall operational performance.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position: Using brief, bulleted, narrative statements, describe the main tasks and responsibilities that an employee in this position would be expected to manage.
  • Provide advanced analysis of technical manufacturing data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with Production Supervisors to address any issues that may impact production timelines.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Partner with Production teams to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for process improvement.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot process issues and resolve production problems.
  • Lead the technical aspects of new product introduction (NPI) projects, including process development, validation, and scale-up.
  • Work closely with product design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of new products.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and procedures for new products, including equipment selection and validation.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and implement quality control measures and standards.
  • Conduct process validations, qualifications, and capability studies to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints related to manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.
  • Provide training and technical support to production operators and technicians to ensure proper execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education: Describe the education, years of experience, and any certifications necessary to complete the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies: Describe the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position in terms of technical, managerial, interpersonal skills and unique abilities.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.
