This is a full-time permanent position that will pay $100K - $130K base salary (depending on experience level).Key Responsibilities:
- Shipping Coordination: Oversee the shipping of approximately 250 containers annually from Europe to the USA and Canada, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Transport Management: Coordinate the movement of equipment, some weighing up to 30,000 lbs, via ground transport to end customers.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication between the factory, freight forwarders, transport companies, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
- Customs Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with international shipping regulations and customs requirements for both Italy and North America.
- Logistics Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely availability of products and manage warehouse operations as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate shipping documentation and provide regular reports on logistics performance and KPIs.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any logistical issues, delays, or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, transport companies, and other logistics service providers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably with international shipping and heavy equipment handling.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
