Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and internal policies.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, including managing journal entries, reconciliations, and adjusting entries. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare and review reconciliations of accounts, including bank reconciliations, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis and insights.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process. Provide necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate the audit and address any findings.
- Financial Analysis: Perform detailed financial analysis to support management decision-making. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate accounting or with a leading CPA Firm
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel skills required.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements. Experience with financial analysis and budgeting processes.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
