Daley and Associates is Hiring a Senior Fund Accountant - Private Equity - 24732 Near Boston, MA
This role is a 12 month contract-to-hire opportunity, paying $40-$50/hour (depending on experience). Responsibilities:
- Perform daily reconciliation of fund cash activity and maintain books and records accordingly
- Assist in quarterly close process, prepare draft financial statements and footnotes and create supporting work papers
- Assist with capital calls and distributions, including allocation of such transactions
- Prepare wire transfers to fund investment activity and distribute proceeds to investors
- Answer information requests from investors, refers investors to other appropriate resources as necessary
- Complete ad-hoc requests for information from management
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or as a Fund Staff Accountant, preferably in private equity
- Experience working with Investran a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Great attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Strong technical skills
- Ability to create clear and concise documentation and/or work papers to be relied upon by external auditors
- Team player with a strong focus on getting the job done within established time lines
