The office is headquartered in Westport, CT with satellite offices in New York City, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi.

Tax Pillar Overview

The Tax Pillar oversees tax compliance for the clients of the family office, which includes investment and business entities as well as non-profits, individual and trust returns.

The Tax Pillar also plays a key role working with other Pillars at the DFO on planning and implementing new strategies and structures for our clients.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Tax Pillar Coordinator to report to the Tax Pillar Head. The ideal candidate will assist in the management of the pillar and be driven to help the pillar be successful.

They will take initiative in the management of the compliance process, drive projects, tax and pillar administration in addition to driving operational updates for the tax pillar as needed.

Excellent service orientation, assertive communication and problem perception are critical as you partner with others across our organization in designing and implementing models, processes, and reporting to support ongoing tax operations and improve their effectiveness.

As the DFO is an evolving entity, you must be able to thrive in fast-paced, fluid environment and be comfortable navigating ambiguity.

Day-to-day Responsibilities Would Include a Combination Of The Following

  • Management coordination and Administrative support the Tax Compliance Pillar including
  • Preparing Metrics
  • Managing budgets
  • Tracking and monitoring of projects / activities
  • Manage several small to medium projects concurrently and provide leverage on large projects including risk identification, schedule timing, task and dependency management, budget management, project charters and closeout
  • Liaise between project team and stakeholders to ensure deliverables are adequately met and convey regular status reports

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience managing small to medium size projects independently
  • Ideally has exposure to process management and project management methodologies or a desire to learn the methodologies
  • Experience with managing processes and projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Fundamental knowledge of finance or tax is a plus
  • An interest in financial and tax processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $65,000 to $130,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including a comprehensive employer paid medical plan and generous employer match for 401k.
