Dallas Independent School District is Hiring a Coordinator III (226 Days) Near Dallas, TX
Coordinate with the CTE Department, Career Institutes, Teaching and Learning, Strategic Initiatives and School Leadership to ensure integrated programs.
Align Career and Technical Education work with TEA approved CTE Pathways for CTE.
Work with the Career and Technical Education team members, business partners, campus leadership, and teachers to evaluate, improve, and build quality Career and Technical Education programs.
Assist with certification and dual credit opportunities for the Career and Technical Education Teachers.
Assist teachers in assigned areas with identifying and securing appropriate resources.
Keep abreast and inform teachers of current and emerging professional trends and developments affecting Career and Technical Education curriculum and instruction.
Work with the Career and Technical Education team members on activities and projects related to work-based learning, the Career Institute initiative, and District Improvement targets and goals.
Design, develop and implement quality professional development experiences for CTE teachers.
Work with CTE teachers, programs and campuses to establish effective business partners which will provide work-based learning and internship experiences for Dallas ISD students.
Plan, coordinate and implement college and career field trips for CTE students.
Facilitate Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) activities as needed.
Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching certification preferred
Five or more years of teaching experience and/or related work experience in a Career and Technical Education area; Career and Technical Education administrative experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team; ability to teach students and adults; ability to take initiative and be self-directed.
Knowledge of careers, colleges and pathways to both general understanding of career and technical education programs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms.
Demonstrate ability to collaborate with other district departments as well as internal departments in the division.
