Dallas Independent School District is Hiring a Manager, Application Training & Support (226 Days) Near Dallas, TX
Manage the day-to-day functions of the Application, Training, and Support department. Design and implement a training and end user support plan for the District SIS and business systems applications in accordance with District policies.
Manage application design and implementation training, and end-user support plans for the District SIS, student, and business systems applications in accordance with District policies.
Facilitate and supervise the creation of training materials and end-user documentation as needed, to ensure accurate, timely, and relevant availability of materials.
Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers.
Facilitate design of an overall training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations to support student and business systems.
Manage development and coordination of new training delivery systems that consider new curriculum and business objectives.
Manage the tracking and documentation of functional and business specifications for universally understood procedures.
Collaborate with user departments in the development of training and documentation standards.
Facilitate an evaluation system that will document how well users are being served and how well resources are being utilized.
Manage the design, implement, and maintain a trainee database to accommodate notification of trainees, monitoring of training, and reporting/analysis of training activities for the initiative.
Maintain web content for department.
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. Equivalency); Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred.
5 plus years in direct experience in a school district based (SIS and business systems) training.
Knowledge and experience in the use of computer-based SIS, software applications, and business systems.
Experienced in classroom and one-on-one training of adults in the use of computer-based systems.
Knowledge of and experience in designing, developing, scheduling, and coordinating implementation of adult training seminars.
Ability to implement, monitor, and complete multiple-tasks successfully in accordance with established timelines with minimal supervision.
Ability to interface effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with support and professional staff.
