Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist, you will:

• Capture Quality Radiographs: Obtain high-quality radiographs both in the department and using portable equipment efficiently.
• Ensure Safety: Follow radiation safety guidelines for patients and yourself, using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Operate Equipment Competently: Use radiographic equipment safely and proficiently.
• Manage Computer Operations: Perform essential computer tasks, including Meditech and PACS, ensuring accurate charge entry and verification of physician orders.
• Deliver Professional Care: Provide patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
• Prepare Exam Rooms: Ready examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, monitor supplies, and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist Radiologists: Help administer medications, contrast agents, and patient care.
• Review Exams: Ensure technical accuracy and complete the verification process in PACS.
• Support Diagnostic Supervisor: Assist with PACS cleanup, including cleaning CR plates and managing workstations.
• Maintain Education: Complete and maintain personal educational requirements.
• Protect Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality for employee and patient information.

Qualifications

Education:

• Required: Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology. Maintain continuing education credits as mandated by ARRT for licensure.

Licensure/Certification:

• Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification within 6 months of hire.
• Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification.
• Preferred: Membership in the Society of Radiologic Technology and Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology.

Experience:

• Preferred: Minimum of one year as a Rad Tech. New grads are welcome to apply!

• Days: Rotating 3 12’s, 7a-7:30p; call

Compensation

• Salary Range: $27.36 (0 years) - $32.83 (5 years) - $38.80 (12 years)
• Shift Differentials:
• Night: $3.50
• Weekend Days: $2.50
• Weekend Evenings: $1.50
• Weekend Nights: $2.00
• Evenings: $3.00
