Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) is a renowned institution dedicated to training individuals for Christian service and leadership worldwide. We are seeking a dedicated HR Intern with a focus on administrative tasks to join our team and contribute to our mission.
As an HR Intern at Dallas Theological Seminary, you will gain hands-on experience in the administrative aspects of human resources management. This internship offers a comprehensive learning experience, allowing you to develop essential HR administrative skills while supporting our team. You will assist with various administrative functions, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of our Employee Success (HR) department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • HR Administration: Provide administrative support to the ES department, including data entry, filing, maintaining ES databases, and managing employee records.
  • Document Management: Assist in the preparation, organization, and distribution of ES documents, such as employment contracts, submitting invoices, policy manuals, and benefits information.
  • Onboarding Assistance: Aid in the onboarding process for new hires by preparing paperwork, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Development: Assist in organizing Lunch and Learns, submitting ESR’s, and ordering food for events.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in scheduling interviews, meetings, and training sessions, as well as coordinating logistics for HR events.
  • Data Entry and Reporting: Input data into Paycom and generate reports as needed to support ES functions and decision-making.
  • HR Projects: Participate in special ES projects as assigned, providing administrative support to ensure their successful completion.
Job Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and contributing to the HR function.
