JOB TITLE: Lead Business Analyst, Engineering Systems positions with Dana Limited in Novi, Michigan.
JOB DUTIES: Will be responsible for supporting product development engineering teams (and associated Engineering Councils) with technical aspects of process development as well as associated I.T. systems and tools. Understand the corporate product development strategy to ensure processes and associated systems/tools effectively support the strategy and enable global product development. Responsible for technical aspects of applications development activities supporting Engineering product development in such areas as Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Assist with selection/installation/configuration of commercially available software or development of custom applications where no suitable alternative exists. Responsible for engineering data management, integration, and storage techniques to ensure cost-effective use of engineering data across Dana.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field, and at least 8 years of experience in the job offered or at least 8 years of experience in engineering, process improvement, or information technology related to complex manufacturing industries. Stated experience must include at least 8 years of experience in each of the following: using engineering systems, such as CAE, CAD, CAM, PLM, etc.; working with global product development processes, teams, and concurrent engineering techniques; analyzing business needs around data, workflow, and users to develop functional requirements; planning the project scope, implementing requirements of the project, and identifying resources required for the project; forecasting budgets and working with global team members; supporting business applications and considerations for operating systems, hardware capabilities, database concepts, networking, and SDLC methodology; working with major engineering tool suites from vendors, such as Siemens, Dassault Systemes, and PTC. Must be willing to travel domestically 10% and internationally 5%.
