Danbury Mission Technologies is Hiring a Manufacturing Technician Near Danbury, CT

As part of our Danbury Operation team, the Manufacturing Technicianwill have an exciting opportunity to further develop their Mechanical and Electrical assembly skills. Working with high precision electrical products with the Defense Systems Assembly Group, this individual will have the opportunity to be mentored and work hands-on within a growing and evolving aerospace and defense environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Working from written standard work instructions to setup and perform mechanical and electrical assembly production
  • Developing the ability to perform manufacturing tasks associated with torquing, soldering, bonding, and assembling a variety of defense products
  • Learn the needed skills to support conformal coating and spray painting applications when required
  • Gaining the ability to monitor and evaluate production results and report on findings
  • Learning to conduct basic process troubleshooting and interact cross-functionally in order to resolve issues
  • Willingness to assist team members to maintain productivity and efficiency for organizational objectives.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Required:

  • 3-5 years manufacturing related experience in either mechanical or electronic assembly
  • Any microelectronic experience is a plus
  • Demonstrate initiative with a curiosity and aptitude to learn
  • Ability to speak up as appropriate and escalate issues as required
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate a high level of precision and accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of flexibility and assist others as needed.
  • Ability to work comfortably under a microscope for extended periods and have the willingness to learn new technologies
  • Solid interpersonal communication skills and basic computer proficiency required

EHS/Environmental Requirements:

  • Must be able to follow clean room PPE Requirements
  • Must be able to follow all safety requirements while handling chemicals and solvents
