SUMMARY
With a primary focus of growing vendor sales, the Senior Sales Specialist serves as an extension of the vendor or technology category and is responsible for educating and enabling the sale of new and different technical products, programs, and/or services. Maintaining sound knowledge of diverse industry trends and technologies, the Sales Specialist is responsible for leveraging their expertise, along with the experience of other D&H experts, to build, position, and sell new and advanced solutions, programs, and services. This position will assume a leadership role on the team to train and mentor Sales Specialists, Inside Sales Reps and Field Sales. They will also be expected to participate in joint sales calls with D&H sales teams to successfully sell and promote vendor products and services.
Communicates with D&H staff to ensure that internal support and team members understand, and are able to properly support sales opportunities. Maintains consistent communication with all regarding key initiatives pertaining to vendor initiatives to further grow profitable business. Provides specialized consultation, education, training, and sales resources to peers and external partners to enable vendor and reseller success and acts as an extension of the vendor organization to drive programs and vendor initiatives to channel partners.
Creates and communicates tactical and strategic initiatives and forecasts aligned with the direction of the organization and vendor objectives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
·Computer literate with ability to learn.
·Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite programs required.
·Requires professional verbal and written communication skills.
·Knowledge of Computer Products industry preferable.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
·Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5 years’ experience in a sales position
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibility.
Fulltime position (40 hours a week), Overtime, Weekends, Holidays, Trainings as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to add subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Post hire certifications may be required to gain knowledge needed to stay current in field.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk and hear.The employee will frequently be required to stoop, kneel and crouch.The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seated in a cubicle or office environment and is exposed to fluorescent lighting, background noise, and computer monitors.
