Description
Responsible for ensuring equipment up-time by Preventative Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing all equipment failures. Works directly with machine operators and manufacturing supervisors to resolve mechanical issues during shift.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/ hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
  • Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility as required.
  • Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment. Maintain industrial control system.
  • Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
  • Create and report repairs at the end of the shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.
  • Understand and follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Repair and maintain facilities and production equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment required to maintain a positive and productive workplace.
  • Perform set-up, start-up, shutdowns, maintenance repairs and PMs on production equipment.
  • Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures and all other Plant Safety requirements related to supporting machinery uptime.
  • Uses a wide variety of machine tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric machine controls
  • Manufacturing machine troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Programmable Logic Controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Manufacturing Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Environment/Physical Activity Requirements
  • May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds a minimum of ten times per day and lift 50 pounds over shoulder height occasionally
  • Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance
