Full-time Description Responsible for ensuring equipment up-time by Preventative Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing all equipment failures. Works directly with machine operators and manufacturing supervisors to resolve mechanical issues during shift. Responsibilities
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/ hydraulic systems using schematics and technical drawings.
Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at the facility as required.
Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment. Maintain industrial control system.
Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
Create and report repairs at the end of the shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.
Understand and follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Repair and maintain facilities and production equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment required to maintain a positive and productive workplace.
Perform set-up, start-up, shutdowns, maintenance repairs and PMs on production equipment.
Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures and all other Plant Safety requirements related to supporting machinery uptime.
Uses a wide variety of machine tools and equipment.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electric machine controls
Manufacturing machine troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus the ability to follow instructions
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Programmable Logic Controllers: 1 year (Preferred)
Manufacturing Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Environment/Physical Activity Requirements
May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling
Ability to lift 50 pounds a minimum of ten times per day and lift 50 pounds over shoulder height occasionally
Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance
