Gas Plant Operator Summary:

Gas Plant Operator The Gas Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a gas plant. They will monitor, adjust, and control the process operations of the gas plant, including monitoring equipment performance and making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal production. They will also be responsible for trouble-shooting any potential problems that may arise and performing preventative maintenance on the equipment. The Gas Plant Operator will be well-versed in all safety regulations and must be able to make quick decisions when necessary. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, manual dexterity, and strong organizational skills.

Gas Plant Operator Duties:

• Monitor and operate gas plant machinery and equipment
• Perform safety checks and maintenance on the machinery and equipment
• Monitor and regulate gas production rates and pressures
• Monitor and control the quality of the gas
• Check and adjust flow meters, valves and other plant components
• Monitor and control plant operations
• Maintain records of plant operations
• Communicate with other personnel to ensure efficient plant operation

Qualifications:

• 1 year of Gas Plant Experience
• Strong Computer Skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision
• High School Grad or GED. Some college or technical training preferred
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
• Candidate must live within 60 minutes of worksite, Cotulla, TX. No Housing available.
