A successful applicant will, with appropriate mentoring and training, work hand-in-hand with our partners and associates throughout all phases of the litigation process, including directly with opposing counsel and our clients. Given DRL’s role as forward-facing representatives of the government, it is essential that applicants have an accessible communications style, self-confidence, and a heightened attention to detail. Candidates must also have excellent academic credentials, a paralegal certification, superior research and writing skills and a commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
Responsibilities in this role will include relevant tasks spanning the gamut of the litigation process, including drafting and responding discovery, preparing legal pleadings and memoranda, law and motion practice at the trial court and appellate levels. trial preparation and litigation support during trial. Applicants should also have experience with preparation of documents for service and filing in state and federal courts, electronic filing (OneLegal and ECF) and calendaring.
The annual salary range for this role is $60,000-$100,000 and represents DRL’s best estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation offered will depend upon a number of factors including, but not limited to years of experience or specialty with relevant subject matters. In addition to salaried compensation, the Firm provides annual discretionary and business origination bonuses, and a robust offering of health, dental and life insurance, 401k, professional development, and other benefits. DRL also facilitates remote or hybrid work arrangements.
