Darigold Brand is Hiring a Process Safety Management Lead Near Sunnyside, WA

Darigold is looking for a Process Safety Management Lead to join our Sunnyside, WA team. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, experienced in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Programs (RMP) for anhydrous ammonia refrigeration processes. We’re looking for a highly motivated person to coordinate the implementation and sustainment of process safety management (PSM) plan and risk management program (RMP) for the anhydrous ammonia refrigeration process.

What You Will Do

·Overall responsibility for the implementation, maintenance and regulatory compliance of PSM and RMP programs and assist in maintaining the integrity of the plant’s ammonia and related cooling process systems.

·Provide direction and expertise to the utilities team, ensuring that PSM and RMP requirements are understood and met. Maintain oversight to meet the above regulations by perform internal audits of PSM/RMP programs.

·Direct reporting and regulatory compliance for EPA’s Risk Management Plan (RMP)

·Coordinate and track follow-up to recommendations from previous audits and inspections

·Lead PSM/RMP process and program changes

·Maintain a working knowledge of refrigeration, PSM (14 elements), RMP, applicable state and federal rules and regulations and applicable refrigeration codes and standards.

·Apply elements of PSM to general duty clause environments

·Provide technical and PSM related training as required. Coordinate and track employee regulatory and technical training.

·Coordinate approved contractors and/or internal resources to perform Mechanical Integrity inspections and Process Hazard Assessments.

·Provide guidance and support during agency inspections as the program area technical subject matter expert.

·Provide technical support for the plant maintenance supervisor/manager in the area of PSM/RMP reporting and participate on any environmental teams/projects as needed including soliciting quotes for ammonia system work from vendors.

·Provide assistance in trouble shooting and incident investigation activities related to ammonia systems.

·Establish a plant PSM team to work on critical issues when needed. Hold routine meetings and communicate results to plant and Darigold’s Refrigeration Compliance Team.

·Participate in routine Darigold Refrigeration Compliance Team & Corporate HSE conference calls. Work with Darigold’s Refrigeration Compliance Team to implement corporate ammonia system program management aspects.

·Support the Sunnyside HSE Manager to ensure PSM/RMP priorities are aligned with HSE goals.

·The position will be based in Sunnyside and can support other plants remotely from Sunnyside as needed.

What You Bring

·B.S. Degree

·3-5 years of experience

·Working knowledge of OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and general duty clause requirements for ammonia refrigeration processes

·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

·Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team

·Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s and plans

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
