We have a great opportunity for a logistics professional to join our Bulk Milk Transportation team has a Transportation Planner. In this role you will be responsible for scheduling the shipment of raw milk supply from our farms, and by product milk commodities to our plants and 3rdparty customers. You will play a key role in ensuring successful movement of our core product by partnering with our third-party carriers in order to execute pickup and delivery on time and in full. This role will report to the Supply Chain Manager and work closely with our Farmer Co-Op group, our 11 different manufacturing plants, customers manufacturing plants, and 3rdparty carriers.

What You Will Do - Create raw milk and byproduct daily shipment plans by 3rdParty Carrier and Manufacturing Site with the goal of minimizing total cost while maintaining established service levels.
- Manage changes to published shipment plan based on manufacturing demand, supply availability, weather, traffic, and other circumstances.
- Proactively communicates with 3rdParty Carriers & Manufacturing Site personnel to reconcile and harmonize shipment plans.
- Procures 3rdParty transportation through established Carrier network.
- Makes independent financial decisions, ensuring all expenditures are in line with established guidelines.
- Monitors 3rdParty Key Performance Indicators and works with 3rdParty Carriers to implement corrective action plans.
- Ensure accurate invoicing for 3rdparty carrier payroll.
What You Bring: - Bachelor's degree in supply chain, other closely related field, or equivalent education and experience
- 2 years of experience managing in/outbound logistics in the food & beverage and or transportation industry, preferred.
- Prior experience in a customer facing role preferred.
- Prior experience in a supplier facing role preferred.
