This position is located on campus in Hanover, NH and requires regular weekly on-site work presence with 1-2 days per week remote flexibility, and full-time presence may be needed during some program delivery weeks.

Position Purpose:
Manages and delivers events, programs, operations, and marketing activities for the Revers Center for Energy, Sustainability, and Innovation according to Tuck's mission, strategy, and institutional priorities.

Description:
The Tuck School seeks a detail and process-oriented professional to support the center's mission of providing co-curricular learning opportunities for MBA students in energy and sustainability. This position is a great opportunity for an individual with strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, who ideally brings an interest in education and in energy, sustainability, and climate issues. The program manager plays a key role in managing logistics for workshops, discussions with industry leaders, visits to innovative companies, and other programs for students. Along with the director, they help build a collaborative learning environment and community. Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp: Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently and to balance multiple workstreams at the same time. Ability to foresee work associated with upcoming tasks and plan accordingly.
  • Interest and knowledge in energy and sustainability gained through education and/or professional experience.
  • Experience and skill in event or program planning, marketing, and communications, including using professional marketing, design, and email software, social media platforms, and website management tools, or the equivalent work experience and education with proven ability to quickly master and adapt to a variety of technology resources.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Inquisitive and driven to continually develop knowledge and find solutions for operational challenges.
  • Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.
  • Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of students, alumni, affiliated faculty, and colleagues across Tuck and Dartmouth.
  • Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
  • Able to collaborate with others as primary means to achieve results.
  • Able to seek out and create learning opportunities, including through setbacks, failures, and successes.
  • Able to work evening hours and occasional weekend hours, including overnight travel on occasion, in support of programs.

  • Interest in higher education and/or experience successfully coordinating student-facing co-curricular programs for a higher education institution.

Key Accountabilities
Description:
Program and Event Management:
  • Planning (20%): With guidance from the center director, envisions, articulates, and implements plans and necessary steps for achieving center's event and program priorities; prepares and presents plans for appropriate reviews and approvals-including schedules, budgets, marketing, logistics, and materials production.
  • Delivery and Evaluation (30%): Manages program logistics, registration, evaluation processes, other arrangements, and production of printed and digital materials. Staffs on-site and virtual programs, resolving participant issues, and supervising support staff (AV technicians, facilities, etc.)
  • Marketing (10%): Creates, contributes to, edits, formats, and distributes printed, digital, and promotional and educational materials and communications for centers and its programs. Coordinates as needed with fellow centers, Tuck Communications, and other Tuck and Dartmouth departments.

Description:
Center Operations and Project Management:
  • Manages center operations and monitors administrative budgets; procurement of materials and vendor services in coordination with Tuck Finance; manages, processes, tracks, and verifies payment and reimbursement of expenses; and administers business systems, data analytics, and records.
  • Develops and maintains data sources relevant to the center, including student and alumni engagement and center network of related practitioners and industry experts.
  • Collaborates with colleagues within Centers, more broadly at Tuck, and beyond, to conceptualize, organize, manage, and complete shared projects and assignments. May collaborate with colleagues across Dartmouth on shared projects and assignments, including the Irving Institute for Energy and Society and the Thayer School to generate ideas and develop learning and engagement opportunities for students and communications on website and related projects.

  • Serves as a key point of contact for and responds to inquiries from students, alumni, faculty, and professional staff colleagues, and other constituents via email, phone, and office walk-ins; engages with these constituents to achieve desired center programmatic impact.
