Position PurposeProvides administrative support for systems within Dining Services including but not limited to Computrition, Epicure Menu Boards, Med Vantage Labels, Touchworks, and EMS . Primary focus will be on Computrition processes to enter, review, process and assist in interpreting all data generated by the system. Will assist in training and supporting departmental users in Computrition. Other administrative duties include acting as a receptionist for the DDS Administrative office while answering phone calls, assisting guests, and coordinating schedules.

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
  • Three years of experience in information management systems, report generation and information auditing, and maintaining databases.
  • Administrative skills in a business setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail while being able to meet deadlines.
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or applicable work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced high quality food operation and to make sound decisions under pressure in a timely manner.
  • A solid working knowledge of food production and recipe development preferred.
  • Experience with menu management system(s) or applicable database maintenance preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new technologies with ease.
  • Able to promote a positive work environment and be committed to achieving excellence in a team setting.
  • Able to work well autonomously or in group settings, can mediate meetings and take diligent notes.
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude while adapting to constant change and evolution.
  • Certain times of the year will require schedule flexibility.

Key Accountabilities
DescriptionMenu Management
  • At the direction of the Support Services Supervisor, will coordinate Computrition system utilization to ensure daily operations are seamless and long term planning goals can be achieved.
  • Provides general coordination and support initiatives within the menu management system including data entry, planning, data review and adjusting the system as needed.
  • Will provide coaching, training and support for system users.
  • Maintain menus within Computrition by working directly with location managers, production teams, dietician and purchasing managers to maintain operational standardization through technology.
  • Maintain policies and procedures for input of recipes, ingredients, reports, inventory, post meal data entry, purchasing specs, price file updates, and general data base maintenance required as operations evolve.
  • Troubleshoot issues within Computrition for all user locations including all in one production stations.
  • Prepares reports on programs as requested.

DescriptionDining Administration Support
  • Participates in department projects that involve additions to, or modifications of, the system at the direction of Director, Culinary Services Director, Executive Chef and Support Services Supervisor.
  • Provides administrative support in coordinating Epicure Menu Boards, Med Vantage Label system, Touchworks Txt-N-Tell and direct market campaigns. As well as assist in assigning room reservations for Class of 1953 Commons as requests come in using EMS (Event Management System).
  • Work in a timely manner to ensure that operational technologies are in working order and maintained consistently.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for the Dining Services Administrative office by responding to inquiries, walk-ins, phone calls, and emails.
  • Assists in coordinating schedules for management team and directors.
  • Other duties as required.
