40 hours per week - Fully Remote Position
The Utilization Review RN facilitates transitions of care and bed availability through review of patient status and medical necessity.This position requires strong critical thinking, interpersonal communications and up to date clinical knowledge of patient conditions to assess the most appropriate level of care. A comprehensive training program is available, however knowledge of UR and Care Management is preferred.
Works with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop a plan of care for assigned patients. Ensures patient is progressing towards desired outcomes by monitoring care through assessments and/or patient records. Identifies and resolves barriers that hinder effective patient care. Actively involved in discharge planning process.
