Get Back To The Nursing You Love: #nursesloveithere

Are you a NICU nurse looking for that “right fit” for your next career move? The Intensive Care Nursery at Dartmouth Health Children’s is a 30-bed NICU caring for acutely ill and premature infants from all over the state of New Hampshire and parts of Vermont. The care we provide is patient and family-centered, with the family encouraged to be present and participate in their baby’s care from the beginning.

Why come to the Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) at Dartmouth Health Children’s?

Because dynamic, engaging neonatal nurses like you can thrive and make a significant impact on our amazing patients and their families. Because you love the challenges of the Intensive Care Nursery and the positive change you can make.

Nurses provide care to infants who are critically ill as well as convalescing with nurse-to-patient ratios that range from 1:1 to 1:3. Primary nursing is encouraged and contributes to family satisfaction. There are many opportunities for professional growth from participation in our unit-based practice council and one of our many quality improvement projects. In addition, there is a two-person high-risk neonatal transport team which includes an ICN RN who has been trained to provide this level of care along with a respiratory care practitioner.

Are you new to Neonatal Nursing? The ICN offers an extensive orientation that is comprehensive and customized based on your acquired knowledge, skills, and experience. You are also paired with a preceptor who will guide you through your orientation along with our unit-based Clinical Educator.
