Dartmouth Partners is Hiring a Private Capital Advisory Analyst Near New York, NY

Analyst 1 - Leading Private Capital Advisory Firm - Summer 2024 Start

Our client, a leading Private Capital Advisory firm is aiming to build out their GP Stakes Advisory team in New York City. We are seeking notable Analyst candidates to join the team this summer.

Our client partners with leading private markets fund managers advising on the full capital-raising lifecycle. The GP Stakes Advisory team provides specialist advice to our general partners on a wide range of transactions including minority GP equity investments, secondary sale of GP minority investments, M&A within alternative asset manager market, and other GP financing options such as debt, preference, and structured financing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of how the GP Stakes Advisory team advises general partners in growing and diversifying their platforms.
  • Work closely with the team supporting in advising private markets fund managers on key investment and strategic decisions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and trends.
  • Support the team in preparing presentations, pitch decks and financial models for client meetings and investor presentations.
  • Participate in meetings/calls with clients and partners to discuss investment strategies and valuation advice.
  • Manage and update the virtual data room and CRM system for all interactions.

The above list is not exhaustive, and Analysts will be required to undertake such duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 9-12 months of Investment Banking/Deal experience
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Based in New York or willing to relocate.
  • Ability to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
