Principal Duties/Responsibilities (essential Functions)Effectively manage your Team to ensure that company goals are met. Team Management
Plan, assign, train and lead a Team to complete the assigned tasks within budget and on schedule.
Ensure Team conformance to existing Company Policies and Departmental Procedures.
Administer vacations, EO, Sick Time and other time usage.
Maintain good Team relationships by communication with Team Members.
Provide Team Members with what they need to do their work.
Complete annual performance evaluations.
Aircraft Management
Assist with the development and monitoring of “storyboards” or other means of detailing the sequence of tasks required for the Completion Installation.
Ensure completion activities are performed in accordance with Planning, Engineering, Quality and FAA requirements.
Coordinate with other departments as required to ensure materials, parts and other items are delivered to the aircraft on time.
Provide detailed daily reports on the aircraft status.
Business Management
Monitor performance to budget to meet or improve upon the Company established budgets.
Use company assets such as operating expenses, tools and test equipment efficiently and correctly.
Ensure accuracy in the recording of time for assigned tasks with respect to work order and function numbers.
Utilize support teams, such as Expediters, Manufacturing Engineers, Liaisons, Industrial Engineers, Inspection to keep the aircraft moving to schedule and to improve the schedule.
Change Management
Develop, plan and implement new strategies to improve/change existing processes to reduce cost and improve quality and customer satisfaction.
Minimum Required Qualifications
High School education or equivalent
Five (5) years of aircraft experience (maintenance and/or completion)
Previous documented leadership/supervisory experience, preferably within the last 2 years
Ability to read, write and understand technical information contained in maintenance manuals, modification sheets, work instructions, engineering documents, and wiring diagrams
Ability to communicate technical information to assist Team Members with completion of their tasks in installation, testing and troubleshooting
Ability to solve problems and thereby facilitate completion of Team goals
Knowledge of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations that address aircraft maintenance (FAR 43 and 145)
Able to climb 30 foot work stands and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
