The Senior Employee Relations Specialist is a trusted advisor to all employees providing counsel, constructive feedback, problem solving and implementing strategic solutions and people-engagement activities.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
*Participate and lead confidential, objective and thorough investigations. Prepares reports of the findings, present findings and make recommendations to address root cause issues. Review cases with our legal team and HR Leadership.
*Conduct thorough intake with employees and managers regarding their inquiry or reported concern, and provide guidance, problem resolution. Assist with gathering all required documentation and take lead on problem resolution cases, as necessary.
*Conducts climate assessments to assess the general work environment and employee moral within a department or between departments to determine areas of employee concern. Partners with Managers to develop action plans to address issues.
*Handle reasonable accommodation requests, and participate in an interactive dialogue.
*Provide coaching and assistance to the managers & employees regarding policies and company practices.
*Be facilitator between Manager & Employee with regard to relationship difficulty (mediation)
*Providing employee support - you will assist employees with questions and escalations, directing them to the appropriate teams and helping to resolve in a timely and accurate manner. You will also be required to collaborate with cross-functional teams when appropriate to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
*Capitalize Knowledge and Know-How, best practices.
*Develop and update company policies and SOP's related to employee relations topics.
Qualifications
*Bachelors degree plus three to five years year's in Employee Relations/Labor Relations or Human Resources Business Partner role demonstrating progressive experience and independence.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Thorough understanding of state and federal laws concerning labor relations.
*SHRM certification (CP or SCP) preferred.
*Ability to coach/advise employees and management through sensitive HR issues to resolve conflict and seek workable solutions.
*Use de-escalation skills to manage difficult or emotional situations.
*Experience leading workplace investigations.
*Experience and knowledge in ADA Reasonable Accommodation process.
