The Accounts Receivable Clerk performs a variety of clerical accounting tasks related to the maintenance and preparation of accounts receivable records and invoices by compiling, computing, and tracing information to prepare billing invoices for services rendered to clients timely and with a high level of accuracy. Maintaining customer accounts in good order by performing collections as needed in a professional manner, effective communication skills and resolving account discrepancies.

Primary Job Duties

• Daily preparation of customer invoicing, based on various customer requirements
• Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
• Submit customer invoices, via email or other software systems provided by the customer
• Prepare and submit monthly itemized statements for items purchased or services rendered.
• Record new work orders into Quick Books, close completed work orders after verifying all information has been recorded and invoiced.
• Work closely with Operations and Accounting to resolve discrepancies or to obtain information required to invoice customers timely and accurately the first time.
• Contact customers to obtain or relay account information. Keep customer accounts updated with correct information for billing and collections.
• Keep records of invoices and support documents in a organized matter
• Prepare communications for Management on the status of past due accounts and advise promptly if assistance is needed in resolving discrepancies or communicating with the customer.
• File and maintain confidentiality of employer's customer records such as customer contracts and rates
• Update customer rates as changes take place or if there is an anniversary increase to avoid lost revenues
• Keep customer accounts current by following up on invoice payment status
• Keep management updated on weekly revenue status
• Other duties as assigned
