Job Summary:

We are seeking a full-time dental assistant for Crozet Family Dentistry. The right candidate is mature, motivated, confident, and independent with a strong work ethic. We are a small family practice and are looking for someone who is willing to learn and who communicates well. We would love someone with experience but are prepared to train the right person.

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and prepare equipment and instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral healthcare
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Manage dental receptionist duties when needed
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Support general dentistry procedures in a dental office setting

Skills:

Required Skills (will train these skills - a willingness to learn and an interest in working to ensure the continued health of our patients are the main requirements) :
- Proficiency in dental terminology and assisting techniques
- Knowledge of infection control systems in a dental setting
- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software
- Ability to handle medical records accurately

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Background in general dentistry practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 per week
