You will have a chance to build positive relationships throughout the community and develop meaningful relationships with our residents. You will coordinate and transport residents to and from appointments in the surrounding area including but not limited to Columbus, Seward, Lincoln, Omaha, and Fremont.

Professional Qualifications: 

Transportation Aides must have a current C.N.A license and C.P.R. Certification or be willing to obtain them with our assistance. Verbal communication skills are important to organize and communicate with residents, team members and families. Written communication is also important for necessary documentation. You must have a current driver's license and a good driving record. You will also have the opportunity to enhance the lives of our residents by helping with Life Enrichment activities between appointments.

Physical Requirements: 

Transportation Aides understand the physical demands their jobs require and realize they need to:

  • lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc.
  • lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
  • lift twenty-five (25) pounds consistently.
  • be able to move and stretch in such a way as to be able to reach areas above their head and below their waist.
  • go up and down stairs.
  • bend, stoop, and twist almost constantly throughout the day.
  • see and hear well enough to answer phones, greet people and read.
  • remain active and on their feet for up to four (4) hours at a time.

This position is 40 hours per week; primarily Mon-Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm. Hours may differ depending on the transportation needs of the day.
