GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOBThe Assistant II, Lab performs specimen accessioning, data entry, processing and other non-technical duties in the laboratory under the general supervision of the Supervisor. This position reports to Supervisor or Manager of Chemistry. This position does not require a registry license and may be non-technical; may be assigned to work a designated shift on day/evening/night. This position reports to the Manager, Laboratory (Lab).
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms specimen processing in molecular lab, Assists Trace Water or Environmental Water departments in processing and testing of water specimens. Duties include:

- Receiving and processing of specimens
- Preparing specimens for testing
- Testing of specimens
- Reagents inventory
- Monitors daily quality control
- Unpack boxes containing specimens
- Receiving and processing of specimens
Education And Experience
- 0 to 2 years experience
- Bachelor’s Degree Biological Sciences required
- Basic computer skills, MS Office applications proficiency required
- Clinical laboratory experience preferred
