Shift Schedule:

  • Wednesday: 9:00am - 5:30pm
  • Thursday through Saturday: 5:00am -5:30pm
  • Overtime required based on business needs

Job Purpose and Overview

The Facilities Technician will be responsible for maintaining the buildings at Denver Manufacturing.

What Does It Take to be a Facilities Technician at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

  • One (1) year of experience facility maintenance in a residential or commercial facility.
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to perform a variety of skilled and unskilled duties in one or more of the building trades, such as drywall, mudding, sweat pipe plumbing, other plumbing, framing, painting, roof leaks, carpentry or other crafts for the purposes and maintaining and repairing buildings.
  • Ability to use various hand, power and specialty tools in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and cohesively as a member of a team.
  • Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be able to bring your own tools to work.
    • Standard and Mertric tools: wrench (7/16 - 1/2 inch), pliers, channel lock, crescent wrench, straight and Phillips screwdriver, and hammer.
    • Wooden handled tools are not permitted

What will you do as a Facilities Technicianat Dawn Foods?

  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, etc.)
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brushes, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.)
  • Cut out and join parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings.
  • Patch or replace plaster or plaster board and paint walls, ceilings, and trim of building
  • Change lighting ballast.
  • Change or install 277v light switches in a commercial building.
  • Knowledge of bend and install conduit to code.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp, move, or utilize objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to use sensory perception for quality measurement of products.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Temperature fluctuates with the season - colder during the winter/warmer during the summer.
  • Working around heavy machinery - hearing protection required in production area.
