Our Stamford- based client is seeking an Accounting Manager for their well-established Hotel portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Supervision of 5-6 General Ledger Accountants to oversee:

• Reviewing and balancing of all revenue batches for all hotels
• Recording, balancing and posting daily receipts for managed restaurants and clubs
• Recording and balancing credit card receipts to hotel systems and bank account
• Preparing balance sheet account reconciliations, including researching and correcting variances
• Preparing bank account reconciliations, including researching and correcting variances
• Recording of cash and investment transactions
• Preparing sales and use tax returns and occupancy tax returns on a monthly or quarterly basis
• Assisting with the monthly financial closings
• Performing special projects and analysis as requested
• Assisting with periodic audits, including audit requests, by both external financial auditors and city/state tax auditors
• As needed, assist with oversight of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll

Requirements:

• 8 years Real Estate industry experience with diversified portfolio of assets
• Strong interpersonal skills, working within a collaborative environment
• Knowledge of Sage ERP systems a plus
• Ability to supervise and motivate staff
• BA/BS in Accounting or related field-CPA preferred
