As the Program Manager here's the work you'll do:

Position Summary

Leads, plans, directs, and coordinates customer and matrix team activities for designated programs and projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. This includes proposal process, negotiation, project management and customer management for projects.

  • Manages, plans, organizes and coordinates matrix organizational functions to achieve customer and company requirements and goals for assigned programs and projects (budget, schedule, quality of deliverables,) Manages Risk and Opportunity program, Coordinates Customer Visits, Conducts meetings on behalf of Program Manager, Manages schedules and deliverables for Program Management Team, etc.
  • Interact with Customers to understand their needs and requirements, grow customer relationships, build company integrity, and continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Use formal project management process and tools (see skills below) to lead and manage projects and programs.
  • Perform additional duties assigned.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and strong presentation skills; Ability to represent the company in a professional manner to win customer confidence; Ability to understand and communicate technical issues.
  • Formal project management process and tools (project justification and approval, ROI/IRR, charter, SOW, risk assessment, WBS, schedule, budget, variance reporting & corrective action, team meetings, closeout) to lead and manage programs and projects; Lead projects to design, procure, install complex equipment for manufacturing or facility operations.
  • Ability to problem solve using quantitative and qualitative approaches. Deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Organized in approach to work. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Delegates work assignments; Matches the responsibility to the person; Gives authority to work independently; Sets expectations and monitors delegated activities; Provides recognition for results.
  • Proficiency in Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and other software programs is needed.
  • Preparation of proposals, cost estimates; contract negotiation; Proactive and responds promptly to customer needs both internal and external. Maintains confidentiality. Experienced negotiator. Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions. Has excellent phone skills. Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information.

And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or a technical field.
  • Minimum five years of progressively complex experience is required with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Project or Program Manager or equivalent
  • Government Secret Clearance may be required.
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Experience in US Government contracting is desirable.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $84,480-$126,720. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).

  • Ability to read complex documents in the English language.
  • Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.

  • Capacity to express thoughts orally.
  • Expertise in: EXCEL, WORD, CADD (Revit/Bentley)
  • Ability to wear a mask, respirator, bullet proof vest, or other equipment.
  • Ability to regularly perform all job functions at Company’s office or worksite.
  • Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g. extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.)
