Daybreak, an emergency shelter for runaway and homeless youth is looking for Residential Specialists. The Residential Specialist will respond to Miami Valley's only 24-hour crisis hotline and youth who walk into the emergency youth shelter.

This unique youth shelter includes outreach, prevention, transitional housing, life-skills education, and other follow-up services for runaway, throwaway, and homeless youth.

This role will complete intake interviews and termination forms for youth entering and exiting the shelter during the shift.

The Residential Specialist will provide guidance and coaching for youth as assigned including information, referral, outreach, advocacy, and linkage with educational, employment, financial, housing, counseling, medical and other social resources in the community.

They will supervise, assist, and participate with residents in scheduled activities (i.e., groups, chores). Timely documentation is required of all paperwork for the client's record and agency productivity goals as established for the program according to agency protocols, standards, and expectations.
