Social Emotional Learning Consultant
Description: The role of an SEL Consultant is to assist in creating Trauma-Informed SEL learning environments focused on supporting the whole child, leading to systemic change. Work will focus on creating safe and supportive environments that facilitate a positive culture, build healthy trusting relationships, embrace regulation/co-regulation, create resilience, and foster academic and social-emotional growth for all students and staff. The SEL Consultant responsibilities can include, but are not limited to the following: Facilitating professional development and job-embedded coaching/consulting, expanding MTSS/PBIS frameworks to include trauma-informed integrated SEL practices, supporting collection and analysis of whole child data, coordination of prevention education and whole child initiatives as a liaison to connect community supports, and supporting the implementation of SEL strategies and skill development in daily lesson plans.
Days: 200 days
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, rehabilitation or a closely related field. Experience with social emotional learning and trauma informed schools preferred. Must have or be able to obtain a vaild ODE license.
