Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Building ServicesSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:This role reports to the Building Services Life Safety Supervisor and is responsible for coordinating various programs related to regulatory compliance of the Physical Environment which includes life safety, environment of care, and the hazardous materials program. Works with the Building Services Supervisor and Life Safety Officer to ensure the hospital enterprise is compliant with Joint Commission, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and local regulatory requirements. Must possess a strong value of safety, good customer service skills, a strong attention to detail, and an understanding of building life safety and environment of care regulatory guidelines and codes. The life safety coordinator must be self-motivated with the ability to work quickly and independently with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to climb ladders and complete above ceiling inspections as required. Additionally, a positive, proactive, and collaborative attitude is expected.
