Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Business &
Legal Affairs Assistant. This role will provide crucial support to the Director of Business & Legal Affairs in
managing legal and administrative tasks related to talent representation and talent deals. The ideal candidate will
possess strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced
environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Management: Assist in the drafting, review, and execution of talent contracts, including but not limited to campaign agreements, talent representation agreements, licensing agreements, and endorsement deals.
2. Legal Research: Conduct research on legal issues relevant to talent representation and entertainment industry regulations. Summarize findings and provide recommendations as needed.
3. Administrative Support: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for the Director of Business & Legal Affairs. Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and maintain organized files and records.
4. Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including talent, managers, attorneys, and other industry professionals. Communicate effectively and professionally via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards. Monitor contract deadlines and facilitate timely updates and renewals as necessary.
6. Special Projects: Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director of Business & Legal Affairs. Collaborate with team members to accomplish departmental goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 2-3 years of experience in a paralegal role, preferably within the entertainment industry or talent
environment.
• Familiarity with contract management processes and legal terminology.
• Strong research skills and proficiency in conducting online research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
