Responsibilities
- Main responsibility will be operating linen folding machines according to procedures and guidelines
- If required, the candidate will also help on the washer and dryers
- Inspect linens for damages or stains and report any issues to the supervisor
- Organize and maintain a clean and orderly laundry facility
- Handle and store chemicals and cleaning agents properly, following safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management and report any shortages or discrepancies
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Pay rate to be $14 to $16 an hour depending on experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a laundry role preferred
- Ability to lift and carry heavy bags of linens
- Attention to detail and ability to identify stains or damages
- Flexibility is a must, working hours are 2 PM to 8 PM, 6 days a week
- Ability to tolerate high temperatures as the facility can become very hot during summer
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
