DCA Outdoor is Hiring an Operations Foreman Near Springs, MO
Reporting to the Site Manager to ensure alignment with site goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and hold accountable the assigned department ensuring the successful execution of operational plans and goals.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee and influence the overall direction and performance of operations to drive sales and revenue growth, enhance customer experience, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Product & Inventory Management: Oversee the execution of a comprehensive inventory management plan, ensuring seamless product flow of in-bound and out-bound green goods and hard goods products, and effective control measures are in place.
- Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Ensure execution of daily equipment Inspection Program. Conduct regular, proactive checks of the facility and equipment to ensure optimal functioning, safety, and efficiency. Identify and address maintenance or repair needs, perform routine tasks, and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Train, manage, and lead the team to promote high quality of work and productivity level
- Provide quality team leadership that creates a culture of accountability, execution, and growth
- Hold daily briefings and monthly meetings with the team to achieve operational excellence and monitoring performance to deliver exceptional results
- Monitor and adjust personnel allocation and workflow to optimize operations, respond to changing demands, minimize disruptions, adapt to seasonal fluctuations, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Create and maintain a safe work environment to ensure that the team are properly following safety processes set forth by management and hold them accountable for safety processes
- Execute and enforce KAT procedures related to inventory control, including receiving, pulling, shrink tracking, spot checks, cycle counts, and several full-cycle inventory counts each year
- Be an integral part of maintaining accurate inventory by regular inspections of inventory to ensure integrity of products, both green goods and hard goods
- Regularly inspect the facility for maintenance, housekeeping needs, or supplies and work with the Site Manager to get all needs addressed in a timely manner
- Gain a good understanding of the irrigation system and the proper scheduling of watering intervals for each area

- Cooperate with other departments and outside companies to achieve goals

- Lead by example to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high levels of performance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management
- Ability to operate and train others on equipment such as skid loaders, forklifts, and tractors
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and strong understanding of basic computer hardware and technology
- Required: Industry product knowledge, including both green good and hard good products
- Required: 3 years of working experience in the green industry or related fields, landscaping, garden centers, and nurseries
- Required: 2 years of experience in team management, preferable in a manual labor environment
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Highly Preferred: Certified Applicator License (Hold a current certification as a herbicide applicator or be willing to get certified)
- Highly Preferred: Bilingual (English & Spanish)
