• Responsible for leading Human-Centered Design efforts across the project. Champion the importance of understanding and empathizing with end-users, ensuring that our product is intuitive, accessible, and delightful to use.
• Lead a team of designers, researchers, and content writers, guiding them in applying HCD methodologies to solve complex problems and drive innovation.
• Work with our CMS HCD Specialist to develop and execute the product’s HCD strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
• Advocate for the adoption of HCD principles throughout the project, fostering a culture of empathy, curiosity, and experimentation.
• Provide guidance and support in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with HCD best practices and standards, including compliance with federal Section 508 usability standards.
• Oversee the planning and execution of user research activities to gain deep insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights and recommendations that inform product/service design and development.
• Work with product owners to create screen prototypes and help drive an intuitive system design
• Manage the writing and delivery of user manuals, FAQ documents and other user support artifacts
• Create and maintain service design documents
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to create informational and training videos
• Partner closely with stakeholders, including business owners, product management, development teams and customer support, to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the design and development process.Required Skills:Proven experience:
• 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the field of Human-Centered Design, UX/UI design, or related areas.
• 3 Years of experience in a Federal contracting environment, preferably supporting CMS Medicare or Medicaid Programs
• Proven track record of leading successful HCD initiatives and driving tangible business results.
• Deep understanding of HCD principles, methodologies, and best practices, with hands-on experience in user research, usability testing, prototyping, and design thinking.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.Desired Skills :
• Experience working in an agile development environment is a plus.Education/Certifications:
