Senior Systems Administrator

Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems. Responsible for directing the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance. Conducts capacity and performance analysis, and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessment. Installs, upgrades and monitors software and hardware. Maintains operating systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, email, PCs, local and wide area networking both hardware and software and mid-range server hardware. Maintains, enhances, creates user account/report, takes backups using Linux tools and command-line interface tools.

Qualification:

No degree required.

Previous experience in Systems Administration of UNIX/LINUX systems.

Extensive knowledge in administering the following tools or equivalents: RedHat, Microsoft Windows, VMWare.

Extensive knowledge of all Systems Administration tasks.

Good problem-solving skills with a high level of communication ability.

Project management experience with ability to troubleshoot and think out of the box.

Three years supervisory experience.
