Scrum Master

Candidate must have or be willing to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Key Tasks (Major duties and responsibilities of the position):

·Facilitate Scrum ceremonies.

·Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services.

·Facilitate Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

·Remove Scrum Team impediments to progress.

·Ensure a proper flow of communication between the Scrum Team and external stakeholders, translating and negotiating requirements as needed.

·Encourage and lead the team in continuous improvement practices; suggesting and championing changes that increase productivity and quality.

·Monitor project progress and performance through the use of Agile metrics and tools.

·Report team progress and successes to facilitate transparency.

·Assist the Product Manager in managing the product backlog effectively, ensuring it is properly refined and prioritized based on the overarching project goals and customer needs.

Required Skills:

Proven experience:

·Minimum of 3 years of experience leading Scrum Teams on a Federal Healthcare IT project.

·Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.

·Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.

·Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members and stakeholders at all levels.

·Proficient with Agile project management tools.

 Desired Skills:

Proven experience with:

·Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required

·Advanced and/or additional Scrum Master certifications desired (e.g., Professional Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master, etc.)

Required Education / Certifications

·Computer Science degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related major
